South of Scotland Broadband

An overview of the South of Scotland Next Generation Broadband Project, what has been done so far, what we want to do, and a short survey to register demand.

Show your support for our campaign for Next Generation Broadband in the South of Scotland!

In September 2011, the South of Scotland Alliance (SoSA) submitted a Local Broadband Plan to the Scottish Government. This plan was used by Scottish Government to develop a National Infrastructure Plan for the rest of Scotland (excluding Highlands and Islands) and as a result the South of Scotland Alliance (SoSA) is hoping to be one of the first areas for roll-out.

Please take 2-3 minutes of your time to show your support for the roll-out of Next Generation Broadband across the South of Scotland by registering your interest on this website.  This could make a big difference to our campaign.  Click here to register now.

Registering your interest will demonstrate to the Scottish Government and the commercial suppliers that there is sufficient demand for better broadband across the South of Scotland. The information you provide will also allow us to identify the areas of the South of Scotland that currently have good or bad services.
